The mission of Foundation Dining Services is to provide an exceptional dining experience in a clean and friendly environment in which the service and menu exemplify the cutting edge of industry trends. The service and menu are to be provided at a reasonable cost, while generating funds that contribute to the educational experience on the Cal Poly Pomona campus.

Attended Mount San Antonio Community College as a Hotel/Motel Administration Management major - Executive Chef for 24 years working in 4 and 5 Star Diamond Award establishments including Industry Hills Sheraton and Water Grill in downtown Los Angeles - Currently resides in Walnut and enjoys windsurfing, hiking, bicycling and tending his koi fishpond - One of his favorite specialties is Roasted Chilean Sea Bass on a Bed of Spinach, served with Rissolé Potatoes and Tomato Chardonnay Sauce. |

Narry Ramani holds a Masters in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from Oklahoma State University. He was a Graduate Assistant for the University Dining Services and has experience in all facets of food service operations for a major university. He has been a Catering and Board Operations manager at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado for the last two years. In his new role as Board Ops Manager, Narry looks forward to building the residential dining into a nationally recognized program. A native of Bombay, India, he is pleased about being back in a major metropolitan area at an institution of Cal Poly Pomona’s stature. |

James Dial is a Cal Poly alumni and a graduate of the Collins School of Hotel and Restaurant Management. He has a broad range of leading edge restaurant industry (Marie Callender’s, Stuart Anderson’s Black Angus and Islands) management experience. His primary responsibility will be Campus Catering but we also expect him to have a real impact on the ambience of our residential dining. His wife Brenda is also an alum and works for the College of the Extended University. James is very excited about bringing his skills back to his alma mater. |
